RE: 4906 build with Intel C++ compiler for comparison purpose (More Intel this time)
So there is a compiler from Intel that can be added to Visual Studio...
I'll try to figure out if it can be added to VC++ Express.
After all I already made a guide.

EDIT:
666th POST!

EDIT 2:
Say, if i 'evaluate' IntelĀ® C++ Compiler, does that mean that the compiler modules will become useless after the 90 day trial? Even if I use VCE?

even if you use VCE but you need compile and link with module from intel so it useless after 90 day trial.

This build is much faster here (Q6600@3.0Ghz, Windows 7 x86), around 20% faster, it's really making the difference between non playable and playable games sometimes Wink

Now it would be fine to have daily/weekly build of it.

This is killing me, I guess I'll download and test your build to see how fast it gets.
Indeed the VPS is now at least 10% faster.

RE: 4906 build with Intel C++ compiler for comparison purpose (More Intel this time)
I just got my fancy new Core 2 Duo E8600 installed and overclocked, i'm gonna see how well this works out, testing by disabling the framelimit.

Quote:Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 @ 3.66ghz
Dolphin Speeds w/o frame limit
(Mamario compiled R4910)

Wii System Menu - ~100 FPS
Klonoa Title Screen - ~110 FPS
New Super Mario Bros Title Screen - ~130 FPS
Super Mario Galaxy Title Screen - ~110 FPS
Punch Out Title Screen - ~90 FPS
Super Paper Mario Title Screen ~420 FPS
Twilight Princess Title Screen ~60 FPS (Speed 200%)
Wario Land Shake Title Screen ~350 FPS
Wii Play Title Screen ~290 FPS
Wii Sports Title Screen ~320 FPS
Megaman 9 Title Screen ~ 260 FPS
Brawl (4chars on Delfino Isle) ~70 FPS

----------------
Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 @ 3.66ghz
Dolphin Speeds w/o frame limit
(INTEL COMPILED R4907)

Wii System Menu - ~100FPS (Same)
Klonoa Title Screen - ~115FPS (+5)
New Super Mario Bros Title Screen - 150 FPS (+20)
Super Mario Galaxy Title Screen - ~70 FPS (-40)
Punch Out Title Screen - ~90 FPS (Same)
Super Paper Mario Title Screen - ~400 FPS (-20)
Twilight Princess Title Screen - ~70 FPS (Speed 220%) (+10)
Wario Land Shake Title Screen - ~350 FPS (Same)
Wii Play Title Screen - ~290 FPS (Same)
Wii Sports Title Screen - ~320 FPS (Same)
Megaman 9 Title Screen - ~270 FPS (+10)
Brawl (4chars on Delfino Isle) ~70 FPS (Same)

Hmm, wonder what that all means.

Can you test the FPS when you "Disable Dual Core" Mode ? I mean just let Dolphin cap to 1 core.To see if programs can break the cap (it suppose that can break a cap in few command). If it faster maybe it mean it can break a cap of dualcore in a few command too.and this few command maybe can gain few FPS.and if it not faster means no benefits of more than 2 core for that game.

ps: auto parallel can sometime cause another cpu to wait before current cpu finish job and can be slow down in some case(more work than normal sequence).
